do you think at my level right now [level 3] and best answers are eligible for a TC badge in makeup?





about how long does it take until i can get the badge?





and what do i need to do in order to earn the badge?





any advice/tips on what i should work on?

To be a Top Contributor you have to answer questions in 1 - 3 categories and obtain about 10% best answers. The Top Contributor badge is awarded on a Monday and it will disappear on a Monday if you do not continue to contribute to the category that you got the badge.


You cannot be a Top Contributor in Polls %26amp; Surveys or Jokes %26amp; Riddles, although you could be the Top Yahoo Answers Answerer for those categories.


There is no secret to being a Top Contributor you just have to answer a lot of questions in a category, and receive best answers for them, continue to do that to keep the badge. You can be a Top Contributor at any level, although it might be hard for a level 1 it has been done.I want to be a top contributor in makeup?
The TC badge is definitely a measure of RECENT participation (within the last 1 to 3 weeks).


You can hold TC badges in up to 3 lowest-level categories at once (except 'Polls%26amp;Surveys' and 'Jokes%26amp;Riddles'). Badges come and go on Monday mornings. Yahoo keeps the formula secret, and it's subject to change at any moment. It probably also varies from category to category. Experienced users have formed guesses, but they're just GUESSES.


You probably need around:


- 30-50 answers per week in the category


- at least 20 'best answers' in the category within the last 3 weeks


- 200 or more total points per week (including all answers, B.A.s, votes, and 'thumbs ups') in the category


If your level of participation falls, you will likely lose your badge. Concentrate on participating regularly and giving high-quality answers in just a few categories to earn or keep a badge.

they don't really explain how you get to be a Tc but answering questions and getting best answers is certainly a part of it.

don't guess or give one word answers.





try not to give funny answers, unless it's a funny question





report spam when you see it and enjoy yourself





it's a good feeling to get picked as best answer and bonus to get a badge.
Answer the questions the best you can so you can get best answer. Get a certain % of best answers. No one knows exactly what the formula is on how yahoo figures who gets the TC badge. You just wait until Monday mornings and it is just there. You can also lose your TC badge you do not always get to keep it. It is done week by week. Hope this helps!!!
